...Cold Showers

By SolApathy

Tell me of the ice-cold breeze
Beckoning at the thought of our last squeeze
You were so cold in the presence of my love
Flash freeze of the dove
Crashing to the ground
His shattering silence, resounds
I look to see as you focus your gaze upon me
Numbing my pleas
I don’t think winter can contend
With your cold bitterness that shows no end
To think it all started with an icy shower
Flash freezing a once beautiful flower
Her heart a wretched chill
Not even the bonfire helps to instill
-Heat in this heart with icy brine
To think this cold woman once loved me in kind.
