...Gifts of the Sin

By SolApathy

In the hollow confines of a once bright mind
Can no longer define
The passage of time
Memories and soul
All that is left
The desire to go
Just aware enough to know I’m not right
Knowing in my confusion this is no illusion
It’s permanent and there’s no way back
Payback in spades
In the end
The house always wins
Sins cover my arms
Between my toes
Tried to hide for so long
What everybody knows
But no one ever said
No one ever
Read
Into the pain
taking him across this dark plain
Now I know no one here
Emptiness replaced by fear
I am no longer me
Just a shell broken and battered
Lost somewhere between
No one can tell
Deep in the purgatory of insanity
...I know all too well

Damn this writing is beautiful, however you do have it inside you and you do possess the power. I can see it & sense it. Do not fear, you are powerful beyond measure.

When I stop being lazy and upgrade (lol) I'm gonna keep this. There are times you read something, or listen to a song and it seems to fit into that hole you're feeling. This did that for me in the moment.

Wow, I didn't think you actually read people's input. Not to be mean, but realistically I would've commented endlessly regardless; but that kinda' brings a new element to thinking of how deep you actually read & really respond. Keep it up girly.
