Exit Stage Left

By DarkDruidess

The ash on my cheek that you see
Is not from you…left behind
From forgotten conversations
About wishes under the moonlight

This is about my true hero
The one that innately knew what I needed
Where I needed to go
What I had to discover… and find

The one that breathed new life
Into this soul so deeply damaged
That once upon a time
She doubted her own sanity…

Lost amongst all the pain
Wandering and floundering
Trying to pick up all the pieces
…Knowing they wouldn't fit

…Till acceptance came swirling in
Leading to a curtain call bathed in flowers
Sunlight, trees and finally
A love worth writing about

Here's to my perfection…
My ultimate wish come true
To you my love
My one true hero

This piece whispers a scream... Amazing imagery, I'm glad I found this.
