...Cellophane Shimmers

Drifting through memories of cellophane noise
Clear images with no substance to explore
Filled with emptiness of the roar
Acid-infused earplugs burn more memories away
I whispered for her to stay
She knew though-- I was too broken
Our final words—Spoken
Knowing where I’d soon be
She’s seen it before –Too tired to plead
My end is the life you see
Twisted remnants of that dream that never became the spark
You close the door and leave my soul in the dark
Odium of the man I could never become
No place left for these thoughts to run
Shimmer of a blade looking for a cause
I burrowed deep into my flaws
I found nothing but the emptiness I claw...
Drifting through memories of cellophane noise
Clear images with no substance to explore
Filled with emptiness of the roar
Acid-infused earplugs burn more memories away
I whispered for her to stay
She knew though-- I was too broken
Our final words—Spoken
Knowing where I’d soon be
She’s seen it before –Too tired to plead
My end is the life you see
Twisted remnants of that dream that never became the spark
You close the door and leave my soul in the dark
Odium of the man I could never become
No place left for these thoughts to run
Shimmer of a blade looking for a cause
I burrowed deep into my flaws
I found nothing but the emptiness I claw...

You are so much more talented far beyond the scope of what you write. I'm being sincere, do not take offense for you are brilliance. Shine butterfly, more than you do; it is your right. I want to read so much more than this short. I love this kind of work.

Thank you for your words. I look forward to see you delve further into the chaotic symphony of my writing.
