It bleeds
By Jonas Robinson
In muddy sands
Gray as Winter skies
Yet, with a warm breeze
A cigarette on the beech
Though, mermaid as you come
In wet sands and morning gleam
Our sunrise doth bleed
It bleeds - It bleeds
And with every angel laughing
Every ghost awaiting
Even peaceful nudity
It bleeds - It bleeds
It gets colder, and misty
Every humid molecule
Burns this city we once planned
And it bleeds - It bleeds
It bleeds out to the seas

This has a great flow. It reads with ease. I personally like “it†in poems. It sometimes is hard to define but it’s your and it’s mine. And it’s what we all share. Nice work.

What can I say that Dan hasn't summed up far more eloquently than I could? You're fantastic Jonas.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, and salt to salt perhaps. Like the time doth bleed away until only the pale husks of memories remain. Cheers my friend and you have expertly combined nature with humanity here. Cheers! - Dan
