I've been eaten

By Jonas Robinson

Eaten still like moths
Worms of ghost worlds
Savagely killing all in their paths

I have such beauty
An amber stone
Crimson in the moonlight

A mist of fragance
Lit into our world
Through air so deep
The night doth weep

Though, eaten still
And eaten more
On the bathroom floor
The mighty roar

And I can't help but wonder
Do they eat for pleasure
Do they eat for pride
Do they eat until they're sick inside
Will they stop when I have died...

I really like the interpretations here. The harsh imagery helps deliver the point even better. "Thou eaten still, amd eaten more, on the bathroom floor, the mighty roar." This line especially reminds me of a song by Dismantled titled "The Bathroom Floor"... Well done here.

I'll have to look up that poem. I'm not sure if I have all ready read it. I'm glad you enjoyed those lines. Thank you for your feedback and praise. :)

The gothic influence is indeed a dark one and seems to be a phase, usually, until we move on to something else. Meanwhile, we search for that which is missing; for something better if not self-explanatory in the mystery that is us. Cheers JR and be well my friend - Dan

I don't know if I'll ever find a way out of darkness. But, thanks for the therapy. :)
