...Fallen Memories
By SolApathy
My silence burns the light away
Leaving only reminiscent thoughts of yesterday
Sparks can’t penetrate the coming cold
Dire ebb of a dying fire –Much too old
Ebony ebbs of restless dreams
Eyes once blue---Faded to grey memes
Follow me down this path of silent screams
Whispers to dust as our core rusts
The thought of losses—too much
Softness of your skin a brittle memory
I remember once, our synergy
Broken of love
I hold a bloody dove
Memories unkind to this tortured mind
I echo a silent sigh no one will ever find
Blood of memories seeping through
Couldn’t save…You
Leaving only reminiscent thoughts of yesterday
Sparks can’t penetrate the coming cold
Dire ebb of a dying fire –Much too old
Ebony ebbs of restless dreams
Eyes once blue---Faded to grey memes
Follow me down this path of silent screams
Whispers to dust as our core rusts
The thought of losses—too much
Softness of your skin a brittle memory
I remember once, our synergy
Broken of love
I hold a bloody dove
Memories unkind to this tortured mind
I echo a silent sigh no one will ever find
Blood of memories seeping through
Couldn’t save…You
