...Fractures of Ambivalence

By SolApathy

Fell through a crack of the universes’ demise
Buried my sorrows within a moon felt tide
I drift upon the winds of a change never to be
Sweltering in the war of emotions in me
I lay upon the salty shore of tears, evermore
Barren of comfort, chaos thrives
Yet I lay calmly upon the sand
A statue of picturesque mayhem
Solidified by the torments of time

Stillness

Drawing a name to these parched lips
Too long without a kiss

Stone cracks permeate my soul
Tongue dances with a lock-jaw whisper
My gritty surface silently whimpers
Broken soul exposed
Feel the heat as my rage burns deep
Exposed to the surface-- emotions unchecked
A day the universe regrets

The closing was colossal and who can say "what dreams may come" (Wm. S.) I don't care what my ambivalence has wrought, is a very neat thought turned inside out. Cheers my friend! - Dan

Tongue dances with a lock-jaw whisper ---- Great line in a fine poem. Great rhythm too. JD

Different, but the same. I can defiantly see that. It's still classic Sol.
