The Broken Day

By molock

The Broken Day

I saw the promise of
tomorrow,
in some far away
place...
Two suns in the
sunset,
and the end of
the human race.

Right on time,
shadows move when
darkness chases the
light...
So I'll meet you on the
other side,
where angels
are given wings to
fly...

Tomorrow we rebuild
love
burying sorrow,
while weaving circles
around the sun.

From the shambles of
Saturn,
we walk through the open
gate.
Where the Phoenix rises
from out of the flickering
flames
....Only to carry the fire
across the broken day.

Right on time,
shadows move when
darkness chases the
light...
So I'll meet you on the
other side,
where angels are given
wings to fly...

Tomorrow we rebuild
love
burying sorrw,
while weaving circles
around the sun....

A man after my own radioactive heart. Welcome back my friend and too bad too many never had the "duck and cover" exercise drills in school. Do we really think that tactical nukes won't usher-in their big brothers I wonder? Write on and cheers! Dan

I've missed your words. Missed the lyrical way you write. This was hopeful, but it also breaks my heart. Write on. Hopefully it helps, sir.
