...Secrets of the rain

By SolApathy

I stumbled into this world and became the rain
Solitude, pain, far more losses than gains
Drained of the will to resist
Still in the universe I exist
Dark thoughts of memories wrought
Pain and fear of all I’ve lost, here
Filling the void of this callous shell
The rain I’ve become is my own hell
Every drop a violent echo –Vibration to the core
Filling me with the thoughts - I lost something more
Callous veins weakening, withering under the strain
A testament to the power of a falls’ reign
I am the leaf, crumpled in pain
Desires drifting darkly as this never-ending storm
I am the drops as they shatter upon the ground
Exploding emptiness, abound
This vessel of broken hearts you have found
Leaking and betraying
My cries -- never listened to me pleading
Whispers and screams
This symphony of unfulfilled dreams
An orchestra of echoes of what should have
Been
I wish only to be nothing more
Life is eating me away to the core

After all of these fucking hurricanes, and reading this beautifully haunting write, my view of the rain is altered. Yes, it can still wash everything clean, but it can also cause great destruction. A catch-22 in a very brutal sense. You did beautifully, dearest. Rebs:).

This is magic. This might be one of my favs from you... it also reminds me of the rain scene from V for Vendetta, like that level of intensity? Amazing dude.
