...Whispers of silent savagery

By SolApathy

In the end of all things I find it bitter
Understanding my life was but a sliver
Dreaming of nightmares my pills cannot repair
I stare
Deeply into the hands of time
Wishing by sheer will I could rewind
Before the never, when I looked forward to forever
In the silence the seconds still tick by
I focus on the sound if only so I don’t cry
Slower they seem as I feel in my throat – another scream
Silent in its savagery as I reflect it into me
Rattling my core - - Knowing there is much more
Waiting just outside, in the rain of these drugs - -My bane
A cruelty of imagined memories that I soon became
Reflection in my own playhouse mirror
I see clearer than what others believe
I am not the source of my own fatal disease
In the shadows of reflection- I see you
Whispering things so cruel
Why didn’t I see you before?
Maybe because I thought we were more
Perhaps I didn’t want to see
The evil desires of one I so
…Admired

just three words kicked my face in! "before the never"... what makes me sad is that, now, I will never get to write those words myself! once again, Awesome Work! ~worm~
