...Winter's Rope

By SolApathy

Autumn in the air as I allay my cares
Leaves start to glimmer
Dying-- still they shimmer
Feeling the winds of imminent change
Daylight strains in shortness of breath
A leaf falls gently upon the ground to rest
Crumbling as the whisper of winter sounds
I feel the tightening of my soul, unable to rebound
An angled sun providing no respite
I feel a taciturnity behind these eyes tonight
I want to close them to block out the night
As depression comes to devour every hour
I scour for a glimpse of hope
…Anything so save me from winter’s rope

In a hollow echo of another summer lost...I fear in the darkness of winter I may forever be a crumpled leaf lost in eternity

I want to spew obscenities of awe and gratitude but, this is polite commenting after all... Eh, what am I saying.... Holy motherfucking fuck shit dude I love the tits off this piece. Taciturnity? You sent me to the dictionary! I love when that happens :) this flowed and was wonderful. I'm also mourning summer already. We'll get thru it bruh.

as the turning of the seasons march on, there is a feeling of loss when we think back on the bright days of summer... and the things we did not do... Kudos! ~worm~
