...Rainbows of the forgotten

By SolApathy

Rainbows imbue my soul
Pierce the darkness, my vision so cold
Enlighten me to the light that I could know
If only I could escape this fate
My memories; filled with hate and despair
Crave to escape this stale air of empty desires
I know there is a fire burning pale
Beyond the veil
I can’t pierce with my indecision
Too frozen to escape this prison
Lost to the soul I once knew
as I see the rainbow flow within you
Above my eyes, reflecting upon azure skies
I smile as I know you to be free
I slide back into the darkness
…Never to be

I love how you only need a word and you build something this great around it.
