Long Train Coming
By Phalanx
Come to me softly as a back handed angel.
Look at me straight and touch me in hate.
I feel like god when you talk back.
Don't take you from me.
You don't know me the way I died, I puked, I choked.
Not the example, in the right minds eye.
Just a man, the worst.
No excuses, just the mangled fucked up guy
That didn't die when they told him to and
I'm your's if you'll have me.

That ending was a firecracker of a surprise and the whole piece was a doozy of a write. Much deserved POTD.

I've got to hand it to you, you infuse your poems with a beautifully unique wit. This is a good choice for Poem Of The Day. Rebs:).

Good one Phalanx and the stony silence can be the worst when even a ration of doo-doo is better than being hungry! Well-said - Dan
