sketched true, etched anew

By Sketso

A silly little thing, written in a moment, for a friend and not intended to be silly at all... your words, after so long, brought a smile, for a while, and I wish this were more.  Accept it as an inelegant thanks...
------------------------------------------

October sighs...
in regret?  retrospect?
and she cries, as I die
with a cry for warmer days

well...
not really a cry,
'twas more of a sigh...

like October

pining over the peaceful competition
of light and dark, warmth and stark
coldness seeping into my bones

perhaps the rain is more like victory?
cleansing, soaking, freezing deep
to crack the shell long unbroken

all to allow new life
in the spring.
Yes, the Spring!

One day YOU will sing

again....
