COLD DARK CIRCLE
By Slingnasty
Forbidden to be seen
Hiding inside the edge of shadows
Forgotten whispers  .  .  .  .
hint at existenceÂ
Born without eyes
to not be blinded by the world
of  .  .  .  .
simple dreams Â
A bright and sunny dayÂ
soft and pure glistening rain
washing gently  and completeÂ
with a bold rainbow filling the horizonÂ
Or maybe  .  .  .  .
The sounds of a gentle surf
crashing on sands the foam whipping over polished shells
aroma of salt and seaweed in every breath
while seagulls squawk in the near distanceÂ
Or just the simple silence of  .  .  .  .
A busy butterfly filled meadow over run with flowers
a gentile kaleidoscope of movement
as they flutter aboutÂ
Instead they arrive  .  .  .  .
feeding on light     They swallow it whole
Dark instability
the ultimate goal Â
Unraveling the tapestry of mindÂ
the prey Â
can be Â
Found Â
Hiding behind  .  .  .  .
a wall of whisky
and falling over the bottlesÂ
Weak  .  . from the strain Â
sip it down and  .  . justify the PAINÂ
Sun setting
early today
Reliving cold and lonely moments  .  .  .  .  .  .
A howling blizzard of unforgiving memories
nauseating dark and freezing
The epicenter     perpetuatingÂ
The winter of LIFEÂ
.
.
.
.
.
.
Wash your wounds in the ocean
warm your soul in the sun
rinse your sadness with rain
Lay your body in the meadow
to fertilize the flowers
with its decay  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  AND SMILE
Â

I enjoyed this poem because of the imagery. Especially, the rainbow. Quite an interesting flow. :)

kaleideiscope of butterflies was your only blind lapse, and the rest was just perfect, well done and relatable to many, thanks SN!
