Beach Beats
By HeadpatSlut
On the Shoreline rocking Jimmy Buffet and Billy
Joel-
Offspring, Sublime, you know I pack the rock and roll-
But
the Weekend's over now it's back to school for the kids-
Time to get
straight back to work, and put the drinks back in the fridge-
Feels
like this Miller High Life just taste better in the sun-
And the Bowl
is packed fat enough, feels like we are the ones-
Who see the world
so slow when every day is paradise-
Everybody gets along, there's
no reason to fight-
Sunbathing on the rocks and listening to the band-
As my iPod plays those tunes with my toes in the sand-
Can I get
a hand with these burgers on the grill?
Bratwurst takes some time,
but when it's ready, get your fill-
Have some family down to visit
and they come from out of state-
Laughing at those old stories and
some beer, it's not too late-
I'm naturally connected with the Feng
Shui of this city-
As I stare down from the pier I see the women,
they're so pretty-
So I plan to hit the beach one last time just to
chill-
I'm taking off right now and I'll touch down in Margaritavil.
Author's Note:
Wrote this early last september, think it's one of my happier ones, has a bit of a rap feel to it.Comments on "Beach Beats"
