Puceau

By Maladroit

Maybe,
if I could bottle you up
and self medicate
in your purity-
there,
in you-
I'd find a cure,
in me.

I could be like the dragonflies in my yard-
a multitude of roaring wings,
beckoning a mate
into a new flight.

And I could start all over..
And you could stay the same..

Because your sameness is everything I lack..
and
your
admission
is
everything
I
can
never
get
back.

So, please, just let me substitute myself with

..you..

Ah, but then you wouldn't be you (and either would the other) - change is inevitable, even when it is sometimes at a glacial pace, cheers!

There is something so longing in this. Wanting so badly to help, to be helped. This hurt to read.
