Enmity...

By SolApathy

Broken - torn
Nothing left to scorn
Killed everything I came to extinguish
Still the emptiness consuming me
My nemesis I couldn’t kill
My own demons
Whispering rage of something that can never
Be undone
Told myself everyday
This is what is to be done
Must avenge
Revenge
And now they are all gone
But you aren’t here
And I know if you were
You would only
See
A monster
I am no longer me
I am the product of my own demise
A killer with a soul that refuses to die
I embrace the monster I’ve become
Knowing you’ll never see
What taking you away
 did to me
Without you here to silence my pain
I can only embrace the fury
Feel it coursing through my veins
My humanity a casualty
Insane
Last thread of my soul crying
As I let the fury take me away
It embraces the world
Smiling…knowing
The blood will never stop
..flowing

Also, though my vision is blurry, it looks like the date this was published says June 12, 3041. How is that possible?

There should be a lot more comments on this work. It's interesting how agony and pain can have one produce their best work. Though we say we'd rather not suffer, if offered the chance to have no more pain, or to continue writing, I'd choose to keep writing. This is great stuff. Keep it up.
