This one's for all the

soft-hearted people

who burn quietly

with poetic presence

but keep it all inside

most of the time.

This one's for all the

wandering souls who are

trapped by their own longing

to be understood,

wondering if there's anyone

out there just like them and

if there's anyone even listening.

You might not know them

walking through our crowded cities

but this one's for all the

self-harming, self-hating,

heartbreaking, heartbroken,

and the crazy, happy, beautiful people

who I love.

Yeah, this one's for all the

dark poets.
