I've found our time is fleeting
I sit silent, at a loss
a friend,
a mentor, a brother- gone
remaining in my heart and thoughts
What I'd give for simply one more chance
to hear your voice again
What I'd give to thank you
for the impact that transcends
I've cried on your shoulder many times
You always knew just what
to say
but now I hang my head in silence
for you were laid to
rest today
Your presence missed inside my world
a void
left open wide
I loved you for the friend you were
...just for
now, this is good-bye.
