Day To Night

Day to Night

(Part I)

As I gaze into the Sky-
My thoughts are all amiss,
The blessed sight unto my eye;
Is to me simple bliss.

The clouds that are without a form-
So shapeless and sublime,
Hither now there is no storm;
I am at peace in time.

The gentle breeze the crispy air-
The sun does brightly shine,
The Cumulus white as a Hair;
And her hand held in mine.

The sun at last begins to set-
The day it seems, is done,
But this day I shall not forget;
The beautiful Horizon.

(Part II)

The sun is down the moon is full-
The silver beam of light,
Onto the Ocean is the pull;
The promise of the Night.

The Lunar gaze’s watchful Eye,
Reflecting from the Sun-
The many stars within the sky;
Eternity Dominion.

The people go to bed to rest-
Retire they so fast,
I bare witness to the best,
Awake my wit may last.

As the Lunar doth descend,
It is complete so soon-
Yet I shall see it re-ascend,
So glorious the Moon.

    A vivid depiction of the day to night transition, reminds me of those times I would sit out on my porch and watch the day end, sick write again, write on. Scholar
