A piece of me for you

By Leith Plunkett

I patent for you … my touch
my love… my soul…

Reach within these dragon scales
Unearth thy beating heart
Heaving the passion of wild horses
Blood diamonds forevermore
my gift to you

A lifetime of love
an afterlife of devotion
Soar with me the winds on cremation sands
Take this ashen hand in wisps of life eternal
Forever yours……forever mine

You take such vivid images that I would think could never make a poem of love and mold them into a truly beautiful love poem, an amazing talent and an amazing piece

Where Love exists, so too the words that profess, confess... impress upon the very soul, and that, that is worth more than any and all words said in vain. You've hit your mark to be sure. Beautifully conveyed as it is. Your Love is blessed. ~b
