death rambles in the sweet gaseous intoxicant
By Jonas
caught with my pants off
reading the sign posts that
are the chemicals that will one day point
the way out
the brevity of the music does nothing to
make the song leave my mind
the crests of the waves
are too close together now
the sound is the alarm that will signal
the start of the fire and nero will lead
the choir with nothing but his strings and his old frayed
bow
and rome burns down
all to the ground
coming back to myself
death seems less certain
but still certain
i am changed
then if thought is a fire
what of the ashes
what of the vapor what of the rain
a breach of the range of my devices
in an aim to ascertain the secrets
of the distances of night
substance sways substance and we travel different ways
energy exchanged
with the currency of change
and time is
rapidly the weight of myself
settles in
and my breath rattles and rambles
as i shape the wind
i will remember every face
i have ever seen
i will go away to
where no one has ever been
so now i am lost in the present state
of your newish skin
where the thought of what is emptiness
dwells well within itself and is very rarely seen

Be it ever so crumbly, there's no place like Rome. Nero, he was the emperor, and the palace was his home. But he liked to play with matches and for the fire yearned; So, he burned Rome to ashes and fiddled while it burned. - B. Bunny
