~*~ Fly With Me~*~

By A Velvet Tongue

the tread now threadbare
withered......defeated..
must i go again?
damn these illusions

full of doubt and low fortune
casted and bereaved
fly with me...
distant....that look in my eyes

am i speaking clearly
consice....sharp...
i wish i could pin point
when that last spark faded..

when did the thrill of touch
silken..gossamer
exit stage left
left behind on the thumb of a glove..
..

upon what scattered dream
sorrowful.....restrained...
whose possesive slumber
stirs this silent war..

ever onward...nowhere to hide
dance........exposed
among the living..
dissected blankets of peace

just when did my aura abate.....fade...?
botch....defile..
once a brilliant pane
fires left unstoked.....simply .....died...

liquidated..i remain
matte side of the coin
abandoned upon a dusted tabletop
forgotten....erased....relinquished

Distant-- that look in my eyes..
must i go again?

"i wish i could pin point when that last spark faded.." -- some really amazing lines in this piece. Breathtaking, indeed. Lovely decriptions.
