Sadness
By darkness_descends
Sadness deeper than an ocean envelops me,
And my eyes blurred by salty tears can no longer see.
Where once a smile had peeked
Is now a face sullen, dirty, and streaked.
Heavy beats my heart, pumping blood through my veins,
My body becoming nothing more than a mere vessel for pain.
But 'tis far more than anyone is seeing.
It is pain, white hot, in every fiber of my being.
I am left broken and distraught,
Torn by something far worse than any imagination could have thought...
The simple human heart.

Very simple, but conveying a complex emotion, I can see where this is coming from..."My body becoming nothing more than a mere vessel for pain.", I like your use of metaphors...nice write...^vTracerv^
