And the night lives on
By Mistress Morbid
Alone I stand at the shore front
gazing into the water,in a trance by
the light of the moon
reflecting * dancing * enticing
mid summer breeze gently brushes
across my face sending a slight
chill down the back of my spine
I dip my foot into the water
and swirl it around a bit
making a spiral effect * fading
I look up to gaze at the stars
and spot Taurus and Draco
my most favored constelations
in the night speckled sky
Feeling a bit chilled and rather tired
heading back to the tent
I turn off the gas lamp and set it aside
climb into the warm, soft sleeping bag
lay my head down and close my eyes
retiring to a good nights rest for
the next day we were prepared for war

you have so many styles its very soothing to see someone who writes about as many different things as myself...forgive me, most people where I'm from write about one subject all the time... >Raven<

You paint a picture of inherent pathos, using a dramatists tools as if you were born with them...Mislead the reader, make them think of happier thoughts and then the fall will be that much worse...that much more confronting...Par excellence

That was beautiful...the ending was great, I didn't even see it coming. I had this whole picture painted in my mind and it completely altered with that last line. Fabulous *~seraph~*

This was so mystical beautiful, the end line was like a punch in the stomach. I love the shock and realization, a brilliant twist. Gorgeous work! ~L
