Wisdom of the Ages
By sweetambrosia
Wouldn't it be nice
to be able to keep
the innocense of
youth
flowing continually
in our veins
to be able to reach
out and seize the
day
to take perpetual joy
in something so simple
as wishes and
laughter
sunrises, new
smells, birds singing,
ocean swells,
experiencing it all
for the first time
and taking such
delight
oh to still be fancy
free and wild
and able to see life
as if looking through
the eyes of a
child.

is often a shifting line, one can keep their inner child against the flow of mass decency, rarely, ever so rarely... Although i agree about the whole simple joy thought...with age comes inane complexity...

aaah the nostalgia of age, looking back as if it would be better, but you know it wasn't. You always wanted to be older, have more freedom. You were chained by your society, socialized against your will... Child-Adult the line that divides
