An Evening to Remember

By sweetambrosia

The hush of falling raindrops
faintly birds calling from treetops
continuing on even after the rain stops
flowing to the earth.

Sun slowly sinking down
darkness blanketing those around
as they drift into a slow sound
sleep until the morning.

Everything comes to peace
as the noise has ceased
and stars are released
into the heavens above.

As the morning sun arises
uncovering a vast new world of surprises
discovering with new eyes
all the secrets wherein lies
the beauty of the unseen.

Love it! Also adore the rhyming pattern and flow. When read aloud, new appreciation for the depth of mind and flowing intensity that took me on a medolic ride that provided some light to shine my day. Thank you...
