Even Darkness Has Stars...

By Anybody_Killette

You keep pulling at the darkness,
But the darkness wants to stay.
You say you'll be my torch,
But the darkness won't go away.

I say don't strain,
the darkness won't budge.
I ask you not to burn yourself,
the darkness holds no grudge.

You say I'm your angel,
But the Darkness took my wings.
You say I'm your princess,
But darkness took my kings.

I explain I'm Broken,
and Darkness took my heart.
I tell you I'm evil,
and Darkness will tear you apart.

You say you'll fix me,
but Darkness won't allow.
You say I'm Perfect,
but Darkness makes me wonder how.

I say bring Duct Tape,
but Darkness will cover the Grey.
I say I'm horrid,
and Darkness will have it's way.

You say you have something better,
But Darkness will break it in two.
You say I'm pretty,
but Darkness can be pretty too.

I tell you about my Scars,
but Darkness has no emotion.
I explain to you my Pain,
and Darkness shows no devotion.

You say You don't care,
about the Darkness or my Scars.
You say I Love You,
and Even Darkness Has Stars.

I say I give in,
and hand you my Ball and Chain.
I say I Love You,
Just take away this pain.
