Divergent Memories
By themasterhunter
There are things you see-
places you cant forget,
times that your mind recalls-
the dusted gold memories that I have of you-
Times when we shared no more then just a glance,
And smiles covered our faces as we looked away-
The tender touches that signal the sunset,
and the tender hungering of our lusting eyes-
reaching past boundaries to satisfy our shared longing,
and reveling in the forbidden rythms of intense passion-
Times softer still; the weight of your head laid on my chest-
Our fingers interlaced, our breathing even.
These fragments of shared memory spiral around me in dazzling waves,
echoing the frantic beating of a distressed heart,
memories flittering in and out of view and flaring as they are remembered-
the conflict i feel in the endless echoes of night when my mind follows
their spiral into darkness.
The starlight hitting your eyes in the blessed hours before dawn-
a smile that I thought was real.
I wonder foolishly how these memories could be crafted so carefully-
and kept by only one.
