Amen

By themasterhunter

The wicked have no recourse
When over mountain top with no remorse

There is a cry
With fervor,
Amen

And at funerals in countryside
When coffins lay open wide

There is a cry
With pain
Amen

And in wicked rituals behind closed doors
And in halcyon dreams unsure

There is a cry
With zeal
Amen

And in unwinnable fights
Against all the night

There is a cry
With hope,
Amen

And when the metal is pressed against your skin
And there's a fight you can't seem to win

Sometimes it isn't enough
Amen

I loved the breaks you caused with amen. Felt like it really fit. Great work.
