Forlorn

By happilydepressed

Is life cruel?
Is death sweet?
A slow dance duel
Defiant in defeat
Glorious in victory
Just trying to make a memory
Was your name remebered ?
Was your corpse spared decay?
Is your soul still whole not dismembered?
Are you at rest down in the clay?
Is there nothing more?
Is Charon waiting to take you to the other shore?
Did the gravedigger steal your coin for the fare?
Left in the Asphodel meadows to wander in despair
Oh what tragedgy the Fates have weaved
And the oracle's words once again misconceived
A beautiful death wasted
May Gaia accept your sacrifice, your blood
