...Autumn Desires

By SolApathy

Leaves are dreaming as they drop
Looking for their final resting spot
Wind melodious as memories abound
Colors of crimson and butter
Orange sunset leaves flutter
I whisper for the visions of falling memories
In this season of autumn’s serenity
Warm and cool mingle
Sorrow has no place today
Tingle as I relive our yesterdays
I wish of only this moment to be frozen
Tomorrow I know I’ll again be lost in the ocean
Raging thoughts and regrets
Unpaid debts
I hold this moment tight
Enjoying every last beam of sunset light
I smile before the darkness takes me deep
Knowing for just a moment a smile I did, sneak

So I don't know if you're aware of a person named Allan Sherman, he was a comedy-parodist from the 1960's. He was the inspiration of Weird Al. He did a song called "Waste of money," this very much reminds me of the joys you get before you realize the effort did nothing for end means. All beautiful in your imagery, but comical in comparison to that. Don't take offense, this is good! And my mind just works a bit different. Love your work Sol. Keep it up girl.
