...Suboxone Screams

By SolApathy

Sanity was a death sentence
Cut off the drugs so quickly you didn’t see
Screaming deep inside of me
Escaping and breaking reality
Tied you down-- I whisper thoughts of love
This wall you've hit
Withdrawal

Precipitative hell
Suboxone isn’t making you well
Look to these broken veins
This is all that remains
Reflection of memory -- pray a girl lost will  come back
That girl is gone –A victim of the demon’s fire
Heroin broke her past the brink
You never knew until she moved beyond the webbing of toes
All while taking thousands up her nose
White sugar surprise
I saw the vacancy in her eyes
Permafried I pray only that she feels no more
I never could help her win this impossible war

...She lost a long fought battle she was never trained to fight...

Dedicated to a friend I slowly watched wither away until I lost her today.

Addiction is a dangerous vice she tried many times to escape.   This last time it took all that was left

This is one that I just could never comment on. Just saying "sorry for your loss" seems too simple. Just.... I acknowledge this and am sorry.
