...Rose
By SolApathy
I cry of the memories that lie
All the times we almost died
I was a rose that bloomed way too soon
Broken, drawn to your hearts as they beat
My Doctor, I will surrender my lone heartbeat
Keep you safe from the false God time almost lost
Burning I will divide them, even as my soul is lost
Burning with the heat of the universe’s fire
My sorrow will transform to ire
I am the Bad wolf, as I create myself
Through time and space
My Doctor shall be safe
Even as I burn
life yearns at my very thought
Draw out of me the inferno of all that could be
Rescue me as I have you
Many more days we have
Before the darkness comes to take you

Roses always have a way of bringing out the sadness in me, and I can only hope that one day soon I'll be able to see them for their beauty. I really like this beautiful write, and you really brought out some heavy emotions, dearest. Rebs:).

I read this twice to try and grasp it`s concept but fell short of a rose struggling to bloom but there seems to be past memories suppressing it ... however the metaphor this poem was deep.

I didn't expect you to write it, but this made me smile. This was beautiful. I love it!
