stars fell like rain

By molock

it's been a while,
since I've seen
your face.
still your memory
never seems to fade.
from this darkness,
 there is no escape.
since that night the
stars fell like rain...

just wanted to know,
why i was left standing
out in the cold?
you reached inside,
and turned my heart to
stone.
barely alive,
merely flesh and bone...

i haven't seen the light
of day,
in your absence
....madness took it's
place.
with out you
i fell from grace.
left in the dark,
to defend  empty
space,
alone  since that
night
the stars fell like rain....

Liked the repeating line very much here Mo, but then that's just my proclivity for all things apocalyptic I'd suppose. Wondering what we'd do to each other if for real??? Cheers! - Dan

Love the long bowel sounds, and the ache and oh so alone feeling that emerges. Impactful imagery - I see utter darkness in a starless sky. Great write! Thank you for your work!!
