...Introspection

By SolApathy

Sincerity in the darkness I command
Brushed aside the light that once graced my hand
Turned to the shadows of my dark reflection
Caressing the empty desires of my own introspection
Betrayed and broken; in whispers my abhorrence, spoken
Taking a turn to darker places where hatred burns
Fire beyond raging red; tyrannical thoughts plague my mind
Battling between the forces of wrong and right, deep within my psyche
I can’t control who will win this fight
No longer seeing in black & white
Now a world only of dark grey; I break with conformity
Delving deep into the wounds of those in which I will soon
 …Consume
Their memories feed into this worlds’ impending doom
Nowhere will you find solace in the sadness you feel
I am the despair infecting every breath you take
Futility of holding your breath
No matter, I cometh
I am
…Death

The darkness is always there. Some try to run from it. Others try to deny it. I can relate to this on a lot of levels.
