...Inestimable
By SolApathy
Sweet caress of my lifelong duress
Inestimable solitude
I am the morbid angel of the abyss
Desolate desires snuffed out my fire
Now my only desire --
Not to be what I see in the mirror before me
Was there a time before?
I know there was so much more
See a fracture; steal a glimpse
In this mirror of reflected sorrow
I see I once had a tomorrow
I drown in the thought of memories I’ll never know
The mirror, my reflection
Like a Van Gogh- Roots masterpiece
Twisted and perverse
I am the beauty in this
…Curse
Inestimable solitude

Desolate desires snuffed out my fire
Now my only desire --
Not to be what I see in the mirror before me
Was there a time before?
I know there was so much more
See a fracture; steal a glimpse
In this mirror of reflected sorrow
I see I once had a tomorrow
I drown in the thought of memories I’ll never know
The mirror, my reflection
Like a Van Gogh- Roots masterpiece
Twisted and perverse

"I see I once had a tomorrow", that line in particular really strikes a chord with me. I know the pain of remembering what I once was, and the galvanizing realization that I can never be that person again. Great job, love. Queen Reb:).

You make the darkness so enticing. The reference to Van Gogh was brilliant. I look forward your posts.
