Slumber Lust

By Lab Rat

Yearn
To the mountain tops, the jagged lightening flows
Like rivers of sweet bliss, cascade past the cracks
Drawn to the walls of cliff side and towering peak

Fly
To the vast empty, beyond the thunderheads
Where cracks of thunder roll

Bequeath
Unto me the last rays of light
Spun heaven sent in your shimmer
The orbs

Gravity
it knows nothing in the weight of your eyes
It cannot speak, it cannot pull
This tide revolts against such meager trappings

Give
me the last breath of your day
Before sleep takes you off
To where dreams prance through picture perfect
Facades and portraits
Where we dwell

A strikingly tranquil use of imagery. I agree, at its most beautiful
