A Season, Neither Freezing nor Burning
By Adagios
1.
A man can feel the twirling round
Spinning , Whirling, gyration
Of this world, become a battleground
Of Narcissism and self-admiration
Pomposity and vanity
All petty baseless pursuits
Are the substance of commisery
And “fools” whom seek deeper truths
Man loves best what he can cradle
And feeble concepts of conceit
When compared with deeper knowing ,fail
So man embraces sole retreats
Walls erected to stanch clamor
And bridges razed to cease voyeur
Wisdom culled and truths enamor
Subconscious reconnoiter
2.
Thanksgiving for all beheld
Mosaic technicolor sphere
And all to which my soul rebels
Yet other persons do revere
In this most blessed of blessed occasions
I recall that each has course
And serving each our own self-mastered
Master serving each our worth
Worthy to be one and many
Graced to be alone yet kin
Kindred of all called humanity
Cognate to the earth and wind
And scholars of the spoken word
My own close kindred clan
Blessings offered, one accord
Deep thanks to fellow man
Happy Holidays.

I have to agree with dwells here. The holidays are becoming less and less about connecting as a family, but more and more about showing off in front of those who love us unconditionally. Very nice and introspective, my dear. Reb:).

Social commentary on the self-centeredness we exhibit while still connected to something greater and more grandiose than we shall ever be individually. A bonny holiday message A. and for sure, we will reap that which we sow. Back atcha and cheers! - Dan Stanza six was superb in particular.
