Allegory of fate...

By SolApathy

Shadows of the wall
 I dread & descend
Into the darkness within
They are my life
They are all
Reality is subjective
I reject yours
Deeply inhale mine
Allegory of fate...

...Place myself outside time...

Never wanting to be anything
Besides by myself
Where am I?
Who have I become
Or have I been undone?
I have lost self-identity
Look at my hands
Shadows all I see
Turn to look back at you
Can’t see beyond the grey
Look back to the wall
Forever I will stay
Ignoring your pleas
I can’t endure anything beyond the pale
My sanity, frail
All is well
Locked myself in this cell
Refuse to take the pills of sanity you offer
Can’t you see I’m so detached?
Can’t reengage
I can’t even feel the rage
My end will be soon
As I melt into the
grey...
