Jade To Black

By Sean Mc Shane

Only a shadow of a broken dream
still whispering to an Angel's ghost

another comic book crucifixtion scheduled
though it's me They want the most

I find it amusing that you're here now
after the chaotic control you once had then

all the realms of the mind lose their borders
it's just a matter of how and when

the laws of this world have failed me constant
on checkered board - Queen to Knight attack

almost put back in the box for good
just close my heart and jade to black

the old ' What-ifs' come to my fading focus
as new possibilities paw at a flickering flame

I tried to capture the essence of a single one
but I couldn't recall my original name

seeking asylum in my last state of grace
another dungeon so dark and dank

I've already offered my right hand apology
but there's no one left inside you to thank

That last state of grace...we are fortunate if we are allowed more than one or two, and beyond blessed for a third. So good to read you again Sean and the closing LH/RH business was striking once deciphered. Cheers my friend! - Dan

This moved so haltingly well for me, almost like I expected it to snag somewhere, but it kept moving, like one foot infront of another. It was well crafted, and the imagery really set a stage. Well done! Thank you.
