Immortal Melody

By Sean Mc Shane

On the plush green bank of the River Terreilly
that was where She first smiled at me

Dressed in a flowing silken gown,  deep blue and pearl white
We sat by the fireside,  holding hands thru-out the night

Caring not of the time, nor how much we will yawn
when the sun rises to light the new dawn

but for now . . .

the soft moss beneath Us, the silver moon high above
We embraced Our passions,  and We shared Our love

After, we placed gentle words within the soft music of Our heart
a song that will never end,  a song that never had a start

It will always be, as It has always been
in this world and the next, we'll sing this song again

Our Immortal Melody that has no name
flows thru all realms and never remains the same

with so many unknown worlds, together We live and We die
though We always find one another, So We never say goodbye

Though Our bodies grow old, and fall to sleep in death
We awake in a new life, filled with a new deep breath

to whisper more of Our words, into the Magic of Our Myth
for there is no other loving Lass, I would ever share my lives with . . .
