Ivy and Thorns

By Legions Slave

Love
Grows like wild ivy
Hurts like thorns on a rose
Some people unafraid
Of the pain
Walk right into it
Others afraidĀ
Inner fears and inhibitions
Force them to admire from afar
Never to experience what true love really is like
The growth and all consuming nature of ivy
The pain of thorns on a rose

Beware the clinging and clutching vines! This was a fine simile, thanks.

So very beautiful my friend.. Hell yeah I got chills... This is the perfect expression on the most sensitive subject.. I am part of the others that admire from afar. Which will leave me never experiencing what true love really is.. Scholar
