Unseen Beauty's

By Ladyhawke

What is beauty
In a forest that's never ben seen?
What is sunlight
In a room that's never been clean?

How long is a moment
In a dream that won't end?
How long is a goodbye
In a letter you won't send?

What is sweetness
In a flower that's never been picked?
What is silence
If there's no one there to contradict?

How long is a heartbeat
In the arms of who you love?
How long does the wind blow
If you're sitting up above?

What is a star
In a sky that's never shone?
What is freedom
If never discovered, never known?

How long is forever
If you just don't count the time?
And if we wait that long
Will you forever be mine?

Excellent write, I have to agree with everyone, love the contrasting ideas. A poignant reminder to stop, smell the flowers, and spend more time in awe of the simple wonders of the universe.

If they truly love you they will wait forever. If they could set you free, would you go with them to see the stars shine? would you go with them if they could stop time, just for one minute to show you the beauty of the land, the trees, the gentle breeze, the colors of the wild flowers as they move on the ground. Awesome write I love this. :)
