Gaia's Home
By Morgoth
As I tread the path that was never trod, the secrets of Mother Gaia are
revealed.
As I walk softly under the graceful arms of the
trees, the fingers of Gaia weave together with the fabric of the night
to shroud all within its grasp under deepest shadow.
The moss
underfoot springs back up, not even a rustle made its silence masked
by the sweet whisperings of Mother Earth as She sings her soft lullaby,
pouring through the gaps in the trees to put the world to sleep and gently
restore the life of her children.
The singing continues, carrying
through the mossy forestland, guiding me forward to my secret destination,
my clothes billow around me, an artificial attempt at the shroud of the
night.
As I continue, she draws me on, sings me to reawakening,
shrouds my passage with the tenderness that only nature knows.
I go, she sings until emerging I see my school, Her home... Inis Mona.

sometimes, I think if we were lucky, the earth would swallow us whole, if we truly had eyes to see it with.

Absolutely enchanting. I was astounded by this Jon. Really. I am blown away. Such beauty. Such poignant tenderness and fragility. The words, they have a strength, a power, but yet such..... grace. This is truly one of the best pieces I have ever read. My dear friend, you have a beautiful way with words. But then.... you always did. I do miss you around here. For the very reason your words do this to me. Leave me in awe. Literally. This was beautiful to the point of tears. I cannot express how much I am in love with this. Brava Jon!
