tales from the damned

By terris crimson

as from Poe's excellent work comes the quote,
"It is the beating of his hideous heart",
I suppose this could apply or rather the lack there of,
which taints my humanity,
what living creature has no heartbeat,
appearantly those who want to feel no sorrow and no more pain,
Rather than dying by the hands of another,
I am trapped in eternity forever,
by making the choice between death and what is now my fate,
my savior yet also my demise,
unallowed for change I wait in anguish,
in pain not because I am emotionally effected,
but because I must live in this hell of a life always,
gorging on bloodlust,
I fear this may end in an awful carnage,
thirsting for something that has damned my soul,
the crimson ecstasy that will soon again run through my veins,
the beautiful warm redemption trickeling from you to me,
an exchange of a little of you for the life of me,
surely you can spare a little my good man,
you have 10 pints for goodness sake,
you could allow me just one,
I must put away with myself for daylight is near,
goodnight my friend, my donor,
I shall see you tommorow,
or shall I rather say to you "good morning!?"
