Come To The Sabbath, Samhain

Come To The Sabbath, Samhain
The Wheel has
turned and rests on a Sabbath-
A time of true memoriam and free from
rage and wrath-
Lead the solemn jig and rest upon a silent path-
The other end of Beltane's light, for Shadows gather here-
Do
not depress, do not be still, of darkness have no fear-
Remember now
the ones departed, the loved, the missed, the dear-
Deep into
the forest go, to a burial ground of gold-
Be weary now, for storm
clouds gather, and gails herald cold-
We gather here and now as did
we in the times of old-
Burning incense in the evening, gather
'round the fire light-
Chanting out the Wiccan Rede, we'll cast the
rune sticks tonight-
We'll carry out the ceremony and preserve the
neopagan rite-
To the Gods both high and low, offer up a Raven's
feather-
Pushing boundaries of two worlds thin like tattered leather-
Come to the Sabbath, come and see as spirits come together.

I love this! Samhain is my favorite of all holidays! I love everything about it.. what it symbolizes and the traditions and customs have always fascinated me so much!
This is a beautiful poem and as someone who always looks forward to Samhain, and as someone who is blissfully nostalgic of the Samhain celebrations of my childhood, this poem really brought a smile to my face!
Brilliantly done!
