We Carry On
Through ages past and friends
that died-
And times of loss and sorrow-
While shadows fade
and tears subside-
We hold on to tomorrow.
While Darkness
holds us tight in Hell-
We strive to grasp the Light-
To those
in death we say farewell-
We shall escape the Night.
If
nightmares keep our spirits haunted-
Like tempests they assail-
We stand and fight with them undaunted
We know we must prevail.
If not for them, then for each other-
For love alone, we
strive-
Because she loves me, and I love her-
And so we stay
alive.
And so for her I battle through-
To walk into the
Dawn-
I know for me, she battles to-
And so we carry on.
